
Cline Village is a neo-traditional neighborhood development, designed by Duany, Plater-Zybeck, of approximately 400 acres in the Hickory, NC MSA. Development program includes 350 units of residential housing, elderly apartments, and a town square, which includes an elementary school, old-fashioned firehouse and mixed-use buildings to create a small main street atmosphere. The project began in 2001 and phase I is near completion. Estimated completion date in 2010. Total project value, excluding housing, is estimated at approximately 9,000,000. Viewmont Square is an urban mixed-use development project in Northwest Hickory, totaling 9 acres and three city blocks. Development program includes residential housing- town homes, condominiums; and commercial space- office, live-work, retail and restaurants. The project began in 2001 and is in it's second phase of completion. Estimated completion date in 2006. Total project value, when complete is estimated at approximately $28,000,000.
